How does Airbrake work?

Does Airbrake integrate with multiple languages? Which ones?

We have supported and community notifiers for most major languages, including Ruby, JavaScript, Java, PHP, Go, Node.js, Python, C# and more.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

During your 30-day free trial you will have access to all Airbrake features, including 5 million errors and 50,000 APM events. After 30 days, if you do not upgrade to a paid plan, your trial account will be downgraded to a FREE Airbrake Developer account that has a limit of 7,500 errors per month and other feature limitations.

We have custom integrations with most popular development and productivity tools like GitHub, Trello, Slack, JIRA, Pivotal Tracker, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, GitLab CE/EE, Bitbucket, Lighthouse, Flowdock, Campfire, Assembla, custom webhooks and more.

What's the setup process like?

Setup is simple. Once you sign up, our wizard will get you up and running in just a few minutes. Just install the notifier and add your project's API key to get started. That's it!

Is my data secure?

Absolutely, SSL security keeps your sensitive data safe. Two factor authorization available through our GitHub integration also keeps your account protected.

Managing my Account

What happens if I exceed my monthly quota?

Each Airbrake Plan includes a monthly error quota. If you exceed your account's error quota, additional errors will be charged an "on-demand" rate based on your selected plan.

What are On-Demand errors?

At the end of each billing cycle, Airbrake will compare your actual error usage to the amount of errors included in your plan. Errors that are received in excess of your plan quota are considered "on-demand usage" and will be charged per error. On average, On-Demand Errors cost ~20% less than errors included in your base plan. See the pricing table above to determine the on-demand per error rate for your plan.

Can I control error volume to avoid on-demand charges?

Yes, you can set a "usage cap" for your account and for individual projects. This setting will prevent on-demand charges, but will also mean that if you exceed your account's error quota, no more errors will be accepted until your next billing cycle begins. You will receive alerts if you get close to exceeding your monthly quota. At any point in time you can adjust the usage caps for your account or check your current usage via your Account Dashboard.

Can I downgrade or cancel my account?

Yes, we strive for 100% satisfaction. You can update your plan at any time from your account dashboard. Canceling your account will stop any future monthly recurring payments, however, you will still have full access to your Airbrake account until the end of the current billing cycle. If your account accrues any on-demand error usage beyond your plan limit during your final billing cycle, you will be charged for this at the end of the billing cycle when your account is deactivated. Please note, Airbrake does not offer prorated refunds for canceled accounts.

What happens if I upgrade my plan?

Upgrades that take place in the middle of a billing cycle will take effect immediately and you will be charged the prorated difference between your current plan and your new plan. At the time of upgrade, Airbrake will also charge you for any On-Demand errors accrued to that point in your billing cycle. Your billing cycle will reset to your upgrade date and you will have immediate access to the new error quota of the upgraded plan.
